Abstract:

I will share the Inclusive Internet Index, commissioned by Facebook and conducted by The Economist Intelligence Unit. Covering 86 countries & 91% of the world’s population, the index provides a rigorous benchmark of national-level Internet inclusion across four categories: Availability, Affordability, Relevance and Readiness. It also provides results from a global Value of the Internet survey, conducted to gauge perceptions on how Internet use affects people’s lives. Will provide a summary of how Facebook partners with operators to extend affordable connectivity.
